Sovereign Ground – Our tribute to 911

sovereign funding

We named our blog today!  In honor of 911, we decided that the name, “Sovereign Ground” would be appropriate. It’s been 10 years now, and several first responder fire-fighters are still very ill.  4 years after the fall of the twin towers, Marty Fullam, first responder to ground zero became gravely ill.  To him, and all the people who lost their lives, or the lives of a loved one or friend, we give tribute to this US disaster.

  • Let’s see if I can recall? Did you see that news on CNN tonight? Something with Sanjay Gupta, talking about Marty Fullam? If so, I watched it myself. Okay let’s get this straight. Didn’t the news story say that Marty has no health benefits or any assistance from the government? If that’s the case then why the Hades did we send relief to Japan? Oh my goodness, straighten me out if my facts are wrong. I think I’m right. I think the story said that these first responders didn’t get paid a dime, nor do they have any health benefits. I mean, really, it’s the tax payers burden to cover everything, but this goes beyond what “everything” means, right? Am I right? If so, there’s a lot of government reform that needs considered, when it comes to “foreign aide”. Surely to God the government helped with loss of life, etc. Poor Marty, he had to have a lung transplant that changed his life, but truly forever his life will be changed. Then the lung rejected his body, would he live or die? I hope I’m wrong on this fact. I really hope I’m wrong. I hope that our government cared for those who cared for it and helped respond to this horrible, wretched disaster.

  • I agree with you completely Kathy about the fact that we need to spend so much more on our people here at home. I unfortunately did not see the report on CNN of this gentleman, but I feel that if he was there, then he should be covered by insurance and if not by insurance, by our government. See I feel that the tragedy that happened that day, happened because of government issues. So maybe a congressman or senator should think about the fact that the man was just cleaning up, literally, after their mess.
